Like a lot of people, my quest for better health has had its ups and downs. All I knew early on was the conventional approach that only zapped symptoms and didn’t go any deeper. It wasn’t until much later that I learned how dangerous these suppressive treatments were!

I agreed to take these suppressive treatments for years without ever questioning how they might adversely affect my overall health. Eventually they stopped working and were wreaking havoc on my body!

For example, long courses of antibiotics to control my acne severely impacted my digestion, although I didn’t realize it at the time. No doubt they affected my immune system as well (most of which resides in the gut). I’m not sure what the tipping point was for me, but I became completely disenchanted with the superficial and impersonal approach of modern medicine, to say nothing of the harm it was inflicting. Only then did I begin my search for alternative approaches that were more holistic.

After exploring and trying out many alternative healing modalities, I discovered Homeopathy and I knew I had come home! The problem with many of the healing practices I looked at was that they were still symptom based treatments. Although in the natural realm, they were custom made in wood type one-size-fits-all, symptom-centered treatments.

Homeopathy, on the other hand, is totally individualized and that’s what I love about it. It is customized medicine like no other, with the potential to heal from the inside out! This means that each one of us has a core disturbance that needs to be healed. Only then can the symptoms we tend to obsess about and seek treatment for resolve. This concept really resonated with me.

After exploring these ideas further and receiving homeopathic treatment that shifted my health to a higher level, I decided that this was meant to be my life’s work. The more I learned about it, the more I realized that Homeopathy has the potential to transform a person’s life!

Homeopathy is a very complex discipline that requires lifelong learning. I completed my foundation studies with The School of Homeopathy, UK. Since then I have studied a variety of approaches in case analysis and case management and continue to do so. I am a board Certified Classical Homeopath (CCH), a credential bestowed by the Council for Homeopathic Certification to highly qualified homeopaths throughout North America. The Council’s vision for the future of Homeopathy—“as a unified profession of highly trained and certified practitioners”—is one that I wholeheartedly share. The CCH credential is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), the accrediting body of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence.
